Semax presentation guide

Semax nasal spray or vials?
Start with the specification.

Compare the named material, listed content and finished presentation. Keep the details of a nasal-format enquiry separate from the vial catalogue entry.

A Semax vial and a Semax nasal spray need different specification details. The peptide name belongs in both enquiries, but a spray also needs a defined liquid formulation and pump system. Comparing the complete presentation makes more sense than comparing the photographs alone.

Aurelis currently lists Semax 10 mg per unit. Nasal formats are discussed by enquiry; that listing does not assign a spray bottle volume, concentration or pump output. Here is how to keep those questions clear.

What does Semax research tell us about the format?

Semax is a seven-amino-acid peptide with the sequence Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro. In an original 2006 experiment, researchers used labelled Semax to follow the peptide and its breakdown products in rat brain and blood after intranasal administration. The report describes rapid enzymatic breakdown. Read the original Semax distribution study.

That experiment concerns a particular preparation in rats. It does not compare an Aurelis vial with an Aurelis spray, establish human format equivalence or provide shelf-life data for a bottle. For the wider neuroscience background, see our Semax research guide. This page focuses on presentation specifications.

What does the Semax 10 mg listing mean?

The 10 mg figure describes listed content per unit. It is not a liquid volume, concentration or recommended dose. A quotation should retain that content description and separately identify the offered physical form and container.

For example, an enquiry saying only “Semax 10 mg nasal” leaves important fields unanswered: whether that amount describes the whole container, how much liquid it contains and which finished formulation is proposed. Ask for those answers together rather than carrying values across from a different presentation.

Our content and concentration guide explains the units. The lyophilized vs liquid guide covers physical form. A vial describes a container; it does not, by itself, specify an administration route.

Why a nasal spray needs more than a bottle

FDA's nasal-spray quality guidance treats the formulation and container system as a complete product. Its composition section distinguishes ingredient quantities, concentration and container content. The useful enquiry question is therefore: what exactly is in this finished presentation, and what does each stated amount describe? FDA nasal-spray CMC guidance, sections II.A and III.A–B.

Request the full ingredient list alongside the peptide identity. Where a quotation uses an additional identity term, such as acetate, ask for that specification explicitly. A familiar shortened name should not leave the composition open to interpretation.

Which pump-performance details matter?

Health Canada's nasal-product guidance discusses droplet-size characterisation and consistency of delivery through container life. Health Canada guidance, section 3.2. FDA also discusses spray-pattern and plume assessment: the shape and spread of the spray. FDA guidance, sections III.F.1 and IV.K. These measurements describe different aspects of the finished system.

Ask which results apply to the actual formulation and pump combination in the proposal. A generic pump brochure and a peptide identity report answer separate questions. If a container or component changes, request an explanation of which supporting records still apply.

Match the storage and batch records

Request the storage specification and the evidence supporting the stated shelf life for the proposed presentation. Health Canada's guidance separates finished-product stability from container-closure considerations. A storage statement for dry material should not be silently reused for a finished liquid. See sections 7 and 8.

Keep the product name, formulation reference, batch number and container description together when reviewing documents. Ask what any microbiological or sterility wording refers to and which record supports it. Neither a sealed appearance nor a clear liquid supplies that answer.

Build a clear Aurelis enquiry

Start with Semax, the listed 10 mg content where applicable, your quantity and the presentation you want to discuss. For a nasal format, request its separate finished specification. For a vial or kit, request the itemised configuration and matching quality documents.

Both vials and pen-style kits remain part of the Aurelis presentation collection. Add your destination in Australia, Canada or the USA and ask the team to confirm local availability for the selected item. A format enquiry is the place to settle the configuration before comparing proposals.
