Neuroscience comparison

Semax vs Selank.
Compare the research & format.

Two distinct peptide identities, one useful comparison: understand their origins, selected research endpoints and the specifications behind vial and nasal presentations.

What is the difference between Semax and Selank?

Semax is an ACTH-derived heptapeptide. Selank is a tuftsin-derived heptapeptide. Both are discussed in neuroscience research, but they have different molecular origins and literature. A shared research category or a shared nasal route does not make them the same material.

A useful Semax vs Selank comparison separates three questions: which molecule is being studied, which endpoint an experiment measures, and what specification a finished presentation requires. This guide brings those questions together so an enquiry can identify the compound and format precisely.

The table compares research topics and catalogue specifications. It does not rank the peptides for personal treatment, cognition or anxiety, and the 10 mg values are vial content rather than an amount per spray.

Different peptide origins matter

Semax incorporates an ACTH-derived fragment and a Pro-Gly-Pro extension. Selank is based on tuftsin, also extended with Pro-Gly-Pro. The related design feature does not remove their molecular differences. The origins are described in primary Semax transcriptome research and the Selank neurotransmission study.

For research procurement, record the precise name and sequence rather than relying on a broad description such as “neuroscience peptide”. A product listing, analytical report and the material used in a paper should all be compared at the molecular-identity level.

What the selected Semax studies examine

A 2007 rat study examined BDNF and NGF gene expression after intranasal Semax. The results were gene- and brain-region-specific, making the experiment relevant to neurotrophin signalling questions.

A separate 2017 study in a rat cerebral-ischaemia model investigated changes in gene expression associated with immune-response pathways. That experiment concerns a particular model and molecular endpoints; it is distinct from a study of a supplied vial or finished nasal spray.

What the selected Selank studies examine

Primary work investigated hippocampal BDNF expression after intranasal Selank in rats. Another rat frontal-cortex study compared neurotransmission-related gene expression after Selank and GABA. The authors explored possible involvement of the GABAergic system.

These studies help define research questions. They are not a direct Semax-versus-Selank trial establishing that one is preferable for a person, and they do not characterise an Aurelis batch.

Compare study design before comparing results

When reading a Semax or Selank paper, note the model, formulation, route, sampling time and measured endpoint. A gene-expression result is different from a protein measurement or a behavioural endpoint. Two publications using different methods cannot be treated as one controlled comparison merely because both discuss neuroscience.

For a literature-based brief, name the endpoint you want to investigate and identify the published material. For a supply enquiry, translate that into a defined sequence, content, presentation and document request. This keeps the scientific question connected to a usable material specification.

Semax nasal spray and Selank nasal spray: what to compare

A search for Semax nasal spray or Selank nasal spray brings the finished formulation into the discussion. A nasal presentation combines the peptide, a liquid formulation, a container and a pump. Each contributes information that a dry-vial name and mg listing cannot supply.

For both peptides, request a written specification covering:

  • Identity: the exact peptide and chemical form in the finished preparation.
  • Total content and fill volume: how much named material is in the container and how much liquid it holds.
  • Concentration: the defined amount per unit of liquid volume, supported by the relevant analytical specification.
  • Formulation: relevant excipients and any preservative system.
  • Pump and container: the supplied components and applicable delivered-volume or spray-performance information.
  • Quality and stability: applicable microbiological attributes, storage conditions and the evidence behind the specified shelf life.

The FDA's nasal-spray chemistry, manufacturing and controls guidance is a technical reference for finished-product considerations. It is not certification or authorisation of an Aurelis format.

Why 10 mg does not define a nasal spray

The catalogue lists Semax 10 mg and Selank 10 mg as vial content. Those amounts do not establish a spray's fill volume, concentration or pump delivery. A separate nasal specification is needed before comparing two finished presentations.

Likewise, equal total peptide content does not guarantee equal formulation or delivered-volume performance. Compare the whole product specification and the relevant batch records. Our format guide explains the distinction between vials, sprays, cartridges and pen-style systems.

A clear Semax or Selank enquiry brief

Choose the exact compound name and say whether the enquiry concerns a listed vial or a nasal presentation. Include your destination country and the scientific or analytical requirements that matter to your project.

  1. Compound: Semax or Selank, with the required identity specification.
  2. Presentation: a 10 mg vial enquiry or a finished nasal-format enquiry.
  3. Format details: for a spray, request total content, fill volume, concentration, formulation and pump information together.
  4. Documents: the selected batch identifier, identity results, quantitative content and other required analytical records.
  5. Local market: Australia, Canada or the USA, so our team can confirm local stock for the requested specification.

Prepare a nasal-format enquiry or request a vial specification through the individual Semax and Selank profiles. The quality-documentation page explains how identity, analytical purity and content answer different questions.
